I'm Margot, an interdisciplinary biologist interested in plants and birds.

As a molecular biologist, I develop tools to engineer plants; in my spare time, I learn everything I can about birds, volunteer on avian research projects, and introduce people to birding in the Bay Area.

I have a background in sustainable agriculture and plant physiology, with an eye towards developing more resilient crops.  I'm interested in avian behavior and conservation.
